Bouldin Creek’s eccentric architecture varies and includes small modest cottages, large modern homes, and historic homes. The historic Green Pastures Victorian estate is located on the south end of the neighborhood, featuring an impressive rose garden and peacocks freely roaming the grounds. Tree-lined streets are dotted with round-abouts and residents are often cycling or walking dogs through the neighborhood. It’s not uncommon to see front-yard vegetable gardens, rainwater collection tanks, and unique landscaping choices. Most of the businesses in the Bouldin Creek area are locally owned and give the neighborhood a distinctive flair.
One of Austin’s oldest neighborhoods, Bouldin Creek is located south of downtown and is bounded by Lady Bird Lake, Congress Avenue, South Lamar Boulevard, and Oltorf Street.
