Born in Tyler, Texas, graduated from Saint Mary’s Hall in San Antonio and Tulane University in New Orleans with a degree in economics, Marietta Scott began selling real estate in Austin in 1982. In 1984, she and husband Wally Scott founded Scott-Wynne Outfitters, a retail business specializing in outdoor wear and equipment which grew to multiple Austin locations and then expanded to Houston. When Marietta closed the retail storefronts in 2001, she opened the electronic store and had a growing internet presence until she sold the web based store in 2007.
Marietta has been involved in the real estate business all of her life and is excited to join the dynamic team at Wilson & Goldrick. Her knowledge of the Austin real estate market, neighborhoods, and school systems provides her clients the most up-to-date and comprehensive information needed to make a balanced decision on the most important financial transaction of their lives. Marietta’s marketing, staging and home construction experience make the preparation for sale of your home a productive and pleasant experience.
The Scotts have lived in Tarrytown, the Mt. Bonnell area, Pemberton, Rosedale, and now make their home in the Brykerwoods neighborhood.

“Marietta, it was a pleasure meeting & doing business with you. In this fast-paced world, it is too rare that I cross first class people who serve their clients well and treat their contractors just as well! You are indeed a first class lady! Thank you.”
-Sue T., Austin TX
“Thank you for being such a great realtor and friend to us. Just today Juliana and I were talking about all the blessings we have had here in Austin, and one of them was to have you in our lives and all the support you’ve provided since we arrived. For us, it’s really a confirmation that this is the place we hoped to be for a long time. We are so happy about everything and the new home for sure will make things even better for our family.”
-Rodrigo B., Austin TX
“I really don’t know what we would have done without you. Moving, downsizing, getting a house ready for sale in a short time would have been impossible without your expertise and the help of Wilson Goldrick. Selling a house in 3 days is amazing but this sale was due to the superior handling of yourself and Wilson Goldrick. We appreciate your friendship so much, but also your professionalism in handling our sale.”

“In facing our first move in 25 years, we were concerned about what to do, where to go to get the answers about Austin’s housing market. We needed to transition from our Northwest Austin home to a retirement community.
A call to a respected property manager for a recommendation led us to Wilson-Goldrick.
We had always heard, “use a neighborhood Realtor. They know your area and the market much better.” Wilson-Goldrick clearly was not a typical “neighborhood Realtor.” But after a visit in our home with Cindy Goldrick and Marietta Scott, we were convinced these were the people who should represent us. Forget the neighborhood connection.
Marietta Scott took over and we could not have asked for more. She was friendly, efficient and professional in every aspect.
Marietta visited with us in person and on the phone on numerous occasions. She made great practical suggestions for an older couple needing to dispose of their home without facing major updating expense and loss of time. In the meantime, she launched a marketing program. She was on top of every aspect for a sale.
Our home technically went on the market Feb. 12. By noon that day we had a contract. A backup contract arrived the following day. The sale closed on March 9, less than a month after going on the market.
We thank Marietta Scott and Wilson-Goldrick for making this life-changing experience comfortable for us.”
