Marietta Scott – Central Austin Residential Specialist

Born in Tyler, Texas, graduated from Saint Mary’s Hall in San Antonio and Tulane University in New Orleans with a degree in economics, Marietta Scott began selling real estate in Austin in 1982. In 1984, she and husband Wally Scott founded Scott-Wynne Outfitters, a retail business specializing in outdoor wear and equipment which grew to multiple Austin locations and then expanded to Houston. When Marietta closed the retail storefronts in 2001, she opened the electronic store and had a growing internet presence until she sold the web based store in 2007.

Marietta has been involved in the real estate business all of her life and is excited to join the dynamic team at Wilson & Goldrick. Her knowledge of the Austin real estate market, neighborhoods, and school systems provides her clients the most up-to-date and comprehensive information needed to make a balanced decision on the most important financial transaction of their lives.  Marietta’s marketing, staging and home construction experience  make the preparation for sale of your home a productive and pleasant experience.

The Scotts have lived in Tarrytown, the Mt. Bonnell area, Pemberton, Rosedale, and now make their home in the Brykerwoods neighborhood.

Marietta has been an active parent volunteer at Good Shepherd School, Casis Elementary, St. Andrews School and Stephen F. Austin High School. Her three children have been involved in a variety of sports and activities from Western Hills Little League, Centex Hunter Jumper Association, Varsity Cheerleading, Golf and Track for Austin High School, Flag Football, Basketball and Golf for St. Andrews School, WAYA flag football, basketball, volleyball and soccer, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, CBS, Young Life, and Venture Crew where she has been there coaching the teams or cheering them on along with husband, attorney and native Austinite Wally Scott.

Marietta enjoys tennis, fly fishing and kayaking on Town Lake, Bikram Yoga, walking and biking the trail systems in Austin.

Favorite Austin organizations are Meals on Wheels as a Groceries-to-Go driver, and as a Hospice Austin, Explore Austin, and Capitol Area Boy Scouts volunteer.
